World Biopharm Forum 2023

Following on from our very successful conference “Continuous Biomanufacturing: Driving value through intensified bioprocessing II”, we are excited to announce our upcoming 2023 conference “Democratisation of biotherapies: new manufacturing modalities and intensifications” to be held at Lady Margaret Hall, University of Oxford, UK on the 21st – 23rd June 2023.

We aim for all the delegates and speakers to engage fruitfully in exchanging their knowledge and experience so that they can all advance their work to achieve the goal in increasing the productivity and reducing the cost of the drugs that could be in the reach of people at large.

Over the decades we have witnessed the tremendous growth of biopharmaceutical products, and it’s clear that this trend is set to continue. Therefore, this raises the question whether the existing technologies can support and meet demand. One approach is to maintain the status quo, when it comes to manufacturing technology, and continue to invest massive amounts of money in new facilities. However, this may not be the most efficient way to address the growing demand for biopharmaceuticals at an affordable price.

Instead, we must look to implement new technologies and find smarter ways to meet the growing demand such as product innovation. Industries should fine tune their approach to manufacturing and implement new technologies wherever and whenever possible that allow for operational excellence. This way organisations can distinguish themselves as leaders in the field rather than followers.

World Biopharm Forum 2023 will address some of the advancements under the following theme, equipment, technology, and processes supporting bioprocess intensification. We will hear speakers on intensification enabling technologies upstream and downstream, and on topics such as continuous manufacturing and single use technologies, monitoring and control initiatives, advanced PAT, and digital twin modelling. Plus, speakers will address quality and regulatory topics in cell and gene therapy, vaccines, the design of ATMP facilities, data science and modelling.

MARKETING/EXHIBITION: The conference will provide opportunities for marketing, exhibitions, and poster presentations. For full details please contact Dr Subramanian at [email protected].

SPONSORSHIP: We are keen to work with sponsors. If you or your organisation would like to sponsor this event or future conferences please contact us.
